Sensible people aren't offended by such trivial things - a cute puppy is not offensive. However like always I expect they will give in and probably ditch this perfectly good campaign effort.

I agree, sensible people aren't offended by such trivial things.

However TV shows such as Top Gear in the UK constantly light up the BBC switchboard with complaints. The Advertising Standards Bodies are always inundated with complaints about some ad or other that has offended someone.

So it just goes to show that people will get offended no matter what; it's not a trait limited to Muslims.

There was a big stink some years back about one of the newsreaders on the national TV news. Apparently there were a significant number of people that were displeased by her ennuciation, elocution and in particular her accent in general. Not the proper 'Queens English' apparently.












This was in New Zealand.
