Think the penalty is the same as stealing.

I think it is a good deal, I have never had anything stolen in those country's with that practice,, Nasty little cocksuckers tho, kids used to get in the back of our pickups when we would park in front of a leased hotel for our chow hall and for the Filipino crews to bunk in in Dammam Saudi and dump out our water cans and dump the tools out of tool boxes and just fuck up stuff in general but never took nothing.
