KL is an interesting city but you do have to get out and about so I decided a change of scenery was in order.

This is Lenggong in Perak province. Nice little hotel.

And a warm welcome from the staff.

The hotel had an observation tower.

It was locked up but a large smile and a please saw the key go into the lock.

Be happy dudes. It's a lot more fun than crying.

Perak is a big place but this was in Lenggong.
I was up there to meet the family of a Chinese lass I knew in the UK.

This is the old government rest house in that town. If you are looking for a cheap but clean and safe hotel, the old rest houses are usually fine.

There is a restaurant in the hotels grounds.
They served the best fried rice I have ever had anywhere.

The manager brought the rice to my table and promptly threw a fit when I tipped the whole pile of sambal over it. He thought foreigners couldn't take spicy.

    Waitresses were nice lasses.
