As I walked amongst these lodges there were monkeys every where crashing through the trees and many birds as well.
Bako is a magic place
When I was based in KL I did the "Fire and safety" insurance inspection ( they are covered by the "Innkeepers act")
Stopped there in the Proboscis Lodge for 4 days !!
Did the job in 2 but stretched it out a bit !
Lucky for you mate and I'll do that next time.
This was the best shot I could get of this monkey. They are famous because they have a nose the length of Johnny " the wad " Holmes cock.
The main reason one enters this area is to view birds and the scavenging monkeys and over all was an interesting place to visit. Bako National Park was a great day out and it would be better to experience it over night.
Thats all for " Bako " and tomorrow I'll be back to finish off with the cultural village which was a brilliant day out.
