    That good huh?

I've always been told it's a bit boring and went elsewhere instead. I think I'll take the gf for a few days next time home, it's not so far from Songkhla. Can I take my bike there from Satun?

I think there are 2 ferry points. One is from Penang while the other is from Kedah. Those are the only way to reach Langkawi unless you fly via domestic airline.

Watching the Man U game, Dill...

I won't mention the score then; bottom half of the table this season?

    London teams top three?

its a game of 2 halves betty, although I'm not confident whatsoever of Man U turning this around under Moyes as they so often used to under Fergie, but it's a funny old game

2-0 at half time, and there's not a lot of options on United's bench. I'd certainly get Young off, for Kagawa, or maybe even Welbeck for Kagawa and get Nani on also. We're (United) are losing it in midfield at the moment, and City aren't even playing with wide midfielders. Maybe change Valencia and Young for Kagawa and Cleverley to balance it out. Seriously don't like to say it, but City are certainly 'bossing' it at the the moment.

Forget the football and enjoy the holiday - seems like a really nice place to just bum around... What beer do they have? Guinness? How much?

carlsberg is 2 ringgit or 20 baht for a 500ml can.

Drank a bit too much of it to be honest and everything went wrong on the Sunday, the cable car broke down while we were at the front of the queue, missed the turn off for Kilim jetty, which is where the mangrove tour is to feed the sea eagles and I think I'm banned from the go-kart track, oh and I came off a 2100 cc jetski.
not a bad weekend in all

I only went for 1 night and 2 days, with the Missus, kid, another couple, a friend and a bull dyke(who beat me at an arm wrestle) and her partner. I hired this 8 seater toyota thingy with a slipping fanbelt, while the couple hired a 50cc scooter I had to keep waiting for. I wouldn't do that again, pissin about waitin for people who all had their own plans on what they wanted to do, of which none was done apart from the jetski-ing, go-karting, piss up and idling on the beach

You really need at least 3-4 days to do everything there. Other things to do there would be horse riding, the mangroves as Ive said, helicopter ride, oh and there's this parasailing vehicle now with it's own engine on the back

What are the flight options from Bkk - how much for a nice top end 2 star hotel under 1000 baht, on the beach?

I paid 1500 for some crap hole through Agoda, then another 500 to upgrade to a beach hut, which wasnt too bad actually, had a big flat screen tv with loads of channels including the footy, hot water, kettle and fridge .
I wouldn't like to guess what 1000 baht would buy, I doubt you'd be hobnobbing with Robson Green.
Maybe the Perentian islands would be more up your street Betty

As for flight options from BKK. I should imagine Air Asia, Thai Airways....

I'm looking to get the ferry there from Satun later this month. Anyone have any experience of the trip?
