I want to buy the cheapest mobile phone, probably a Nokia, I can get, with no bells and whistles. Just the usual 9 categories, e.g. contacts, messages, etc.
I live in Pattaya and if you say the first floor in Tuk.com, I've been there and the cheapest was 990 for a Nokia. Last year I bought a better Nokia for 850 baht in Carrefour...

Seriously though if a phone with a cost of 990b is excessive maybe you need to re-evaluate your situation and possible think about heading home.

don't buy a cheap shit phone. i bought a nokia in tesco's for 750 baht a few months ago, bloody nightmare, it does nothing but make calls, no caller I.D. and worse of all turns itself off a couple of times a day,

i have to keep checking it and turning it back on again
