I often wonder what would become of Thailand if it was run by Issan Thai's, and not the Thai Chinese

Nothing personal, Stewie, but that's a bit of an exaggeration. And by that logic, the Hill Tribes ought to be the most respected people here, not the least.

Thainess means almost never saying "Please" or "Thank you", but when you do, in totally excessive ways.

Thainess means eating rice with your fingers but fried chicken with a knife and fork. While considering people who eat it with their hands as uncouth.

Thainess means caring more about what people who don't know you let alone care about you think of you than what people who love and care about you think, or their feelings or intentions, and often their best interests, too.

Thainess means adoring people with more than just your average checkered past simply because they are powerful and/or rich.

Thainess means doing good things because you assume there is a reward, real, spiritual, or supernatural, but definitely one of them.

Thainess means being really shit at football. Not 'the shit'...'shit'.

Thainess means cooking some great fucking food, right after you just wiped your ass with your hand.

Thainess means balls massage. I don't know what that really involves, but I bet it's awesome.

Thainess means passive-aggressiveness to the extreme.

Thainess means putting up with injustice because you secretly desire to be the oppressor in your next life. Or better yet, this one.

Thainess means exactly what Plaek Phibulsongkram, the initiator of the term in the Thirties, meant. Fascism.
