Renting A Car

I will need to frent a small car twice in January, once for three days during the first week and second for two weeks the last half of the month. The first rental can be for a 2-seater(if they have them); the second for 4 people. I haven't done much investigating so far, but the one rental agency I approached said for a small car for 7-21 days, the cost is 1,200/day. Surely, I can do better than that, but where?

Seriously mate you need to go with a good company that has proper insurance, many of them will tell you that you are fully covered but many of them lie to get your business, and if things go tits up and you have an accident you will be in deep shit if you dont have the proper insurance

There's a thread on here somewhere with a list of companies, but I'll be buggered if I can find it.
