Don't bring to many prescription drugs either as you can usually buy the same here for 10% of cost in USA. just bring your prescription so you know what to get.

Never tap anyone on the head or stick your feet into their face. If a local drops some coins and they begin rolling away don't try and help by using your foot otherwise you will get in a fight as you would have stamped on the Kings Head

- VC gives better exchange rates than MC
- moneybelt is more preferable
- use atm attached to the bank

Best tip I ever got for LOS was the first day I arrived.

I`d met an expat from Chiang Mai,on the plane and he`d agreed to show me around Bangkok/,Pat Pong,that evening. We left arrivals and headed straight for the cafe.Whilst having a coffee,my new friend bought a packet of Thong Thip and promptly threw the cigerettes away.He then refilled the packet with his Benson & Hedges.When I asked what he was doing,he told me that when we went to Pat Pong that night,the bar girls would see him smoking the cheap Thai cigerettes and assume he had no money/end of holiday/expat living in Thailand. He was 100% correct,the girls left us pretty much alone.....

Oh yeah, forgot this one, tell them to look both ways before crossing a road to avoid being run down by a rouge motorcycle going the wrong way down a street (especially at night with no lights on

Exactly what you want on your first night in Thailand in Patpong, girls avoiding you because they think you have no money.
