    Traveling inThailand

My wife and I will be traveling in Thailand. Her family Lives in Korat, Ban Chang and Pitchit. She is willing to live anywhere in Thailand but I would like to travel around before committing to any long term lease. Are there short term leases available? I'm looking to stay in 1 place about two weeks and explore the areas for housing, banking and recreation. Staying in hotel might be too expensive. Any ideas?

It depends where but it's certainly possible to stay in a "hong pak" for around 450-500 baht a day. They'll often give you cheaper rates if you commit to a week (or month or whatever).

    Sound suggestion.

Thank you for the information. With your "hong pak" reference I was able to find Hong-pak.com. Easily translated to English on google.

I know this advice is a bit old but when we go touring in Thailand i look for accommodation at about 4PM in what ever town we are in
99% of the time it costs less than 450Baht a night for motel type accommodation with aircon cable and en-suite on most occasions, you would definitely be able to negotiate a lower rate for a longer stay if its not a Thai holiday
