General labourers, less farm labour, seem to receive more than B300 per day...
Just beginning to kick in, as when this "regulation" was mandated some time back, such fair living wages weren't widely practiced or enforced.

An fair hourly wage would be more just than the proverbial day wage.
Don't hold your breath expecting this to change in the near future.

    An almost serfdom still exists.

Even subsistence farmers hire cheap foreign labor. Thanks to this government there is no longer an export market for the produce.
No such thing as a Thai labourer, they are all self employed smallholders.
Jeff is on a different planet to the rest.

If you remove the comparative the information is of little or no worth.

Money (or cost) is in general is a valueless commodity. Without a value unless measured against or compared to something specific.

All labor in Thailand is done by guest workers. The Thai are far too superior for menial tasks. That’s why there is a refugee problem and the government legalized a bunch of them to do all the shit jobs the Thai don’t want.
If all the Burmese working in Thailand were repatriated, there would be riots.
If you can’t recognize this simple fact, you don’t live in the country.

If you disagree with my comments, send a red, but be man enough to produce some evidence to support your case.
You behave like an angry child when faced with truth you don’t like, because it undermines your dumb beliefs.

Bottom line is, you have no evidence because your entire faux life is based on a lie that you tell yourself. You are more of a supplicant than the Thai peasantry.

Ok in context, whatever your point may be, about 5% are foreign workers which makes all the above rather silly. Riots in the street!

Does that 5% include domestic staff, construction workers and illegals? Or is just transient farm labor?

You don’t count smallholders as laborers either. They class themselves as hi-so because they own a few Rai of agricultural land, so they are self employed

Includes all legal foreign workers. All nationalities. Even Brit teflers.

Everyone at my work is Thai including the cleaning maids, gardeners, canteen staff and the day labourers.

What sort of menial tasks are you talking about ?
