^First sensible answer yet to this obvious troll. I can't imagine why anyone would give the slightest fuck what he did, or waste time with suggestions other than Fuck off.

Wife and I went too Thailand for a 2 week vacation and stayed 8 years. If this is something you want go for it, but try it first for 6 months living near family may not be what is best.
First post by Rubadum asking for advice, thanks for letting us know about your circumstances and from that it is easy to see that someone with your Asian experience really does not need advice.
More attention deficit syndrome which is great so just post us your experience of moving to Thailand would be more appreciated.
Looking forward to your moving contributions.

Come back srababfan! LMAO.
.....come......back......
It really is a very big deal. The OP appears to be a reasonably nice, but slightly naive person. In the real world of things Thai (especially in dealing with the guys, who perceive a gesture of farang kindness, as being a sign of "weakness"), he'd probably be better advised to plan a relocation to the planet Jupiter, instead.Originally Posted by Passing Through
Failing that venture, the OP should, at the very least, pay real close "attention" to the advice given in Post #13.

The OP topic thread is about relocating exclusively to Thailand, and not Thailand, compared to any other location on the planet. Capisce? Sigh!Originally Posted by UrbanMan
Agree.. all well and good being nice, but know that you are swimming with sharks in tai-lan.. so if you are a nice, naive Dolphin, expect to be eaten and shat out, real quick...Originally Posted by TuskegeeBen
Some Thais, see 'nice Farang' as easy marks/meat, so keep a tight defense at all times.
To be fair, many Farang in toyland, left their moral compass at the airport, so be extra wary/vigilant of them as well...
Chook dee flipper... swim safe!
Another vote for NO BIG DEAL.
Have a couple thousand US put away for an escape plan and book the tickets.
Leave the namby-pamby worrying for the girls.
I can offer you protection from Gazza for a mere $100 pm.
Your company having resources in Thailand, rather than holding 49% ownership of a Thai business enterprise, are two very different cups of tea. My advice is that you maintain your current lifestyle "status quo", and move progressively along, within that environment. Retire in Thailand, only. If your Thai "wife" attempts to convince you to do otherwise, then divorce her, immediately. She is definitely not your friend. A word to the wise should be sufficient.Originally Posted by srabadan
The real danger facing the OP is the affliction of random emphasis of certain words within cyber posts. It's the manifestation of a stuttering intellect and invariably ends badly.
You have been warned.
