How to get around double pricing at Madam Taussauds.

Supposed to be going there with friends next week. This will be embarrassing. Any suggestions?

Dress up as a wax dummy, and have your friends tell them you are the latest exhibit..

Best way to avoid the double pricing would be to not go!

book on the thai website at the thai prices. even though the english website has higher prices, there is no mention on either page of a thai price or a tourist price.

if they ask for more money from you when you try to enter on a ticket bought at a thai price, either act like a spineless wimp and pay up, or create an almighty stink and threaten maximum ecposure on facebook, twatter, trip advisor etc.
ask to see the manager, get your thai friends to back you up, make a fuss.

although even at the thai price, tussauds is a waste both of money and time and why anybody would want to go is a mystery.

Sean Connery used sellotape in a Bond film once to look Japanese. If a master spy can do it, so can you.

    On phone. Pic coming later.

Enter dressed as a ninja screaming to your heart's content whilst waving your weapons about.

Apologies all round and say you thought you were at Madman 2 Swords.

This should get you in for free.

Agree with Luigi above. You could never guess the girl with glasses is from Ghana.

It's the gang sign with the right hand that gives it away.

Yup. The old Thermae at Nana is best for a real "Chamber of Horrors" experience.

Some posters claim that the Pink ID card issued at your local Amphur for free will get you into places at same as Thai price.
I have the Pink ID card but only used it once and that was at the bank to make a withdrawal.

Just boycott it. Why give money to a company that feels okay being openly racist? Can you imagine if you tried this in a Western country?

Well, yes. Lots of Western countries do it. As in Thailand they let you in for the local price if you show you're a taxpayer. It happens everywhere but it seems that farangs in Thailand are very sensitive people and get all butthurt when it happens to them.

Many places offer discounts for locals. If you're too poor to shell out an extra couple of quid for admission to an attraction then you shouldn't be travelling in the first place. Was it you with the "I need 5000 Baht to get home" sign?

Nor do they write it in English and Thai.
