A day and a half in BKK

Man.....Been awhile since I had been back in BKK. I was hooking up with the owner of vvP4x4 in Suanluang to add some suspension components to my Revo I brought from the US. Incredibly well stocked business and extremely competent staff. If you want to mod your truck or SUV I highly recommend. They did a super clean install.

Anyway after I discussed what I wanted installed on my truck my wife and I took off in her car to spend the day. Lord is it Big city chaos. Traffic round the clock, no parking to be found, food expensive, cocktails expensive. As my wife and I walked around a big mall looking for something she wanted to get while here I noticed almost all the people there were dressed like the Lakorn stars. Seemed so odd. Sadly they all look the same. The women had waaaay to much make up on, too many fake eyelashes, the woman self absorbed doing selfies. It just all seemed so fake to me. I mean I get it, Its big city life, super competitive but it was just eye opening how "Westernized" they become in the last 5 to 7 years BTW, people that think that Thai's are poor need to check the car parking at malls and the top end restaurants. There are some top flight rides here. Saw an Audi R8, Porsche Boxsters and Cayennes, Big Benz, Big Beamers, Few Ranges. Big restaurants all packed.

It was a fun trip, A day and a half was enough for US.

They've become Koreanized. Korean women are the asian beauty archetypes.

Don't like bangers too much myself, but where were you eating? Some very cheap eats to be had there...

Day and a half is far to much for me even half a day is to much and I'm certainly not loony enough to drive there.

Give me a nice quiet forest with the trees, birds and animals.

Yeah, that is likely the best connection. Odd they can't seem to form their own identity. I do however see a ton of references to western countries.

We ate near Pink Lao. Wasn't overly pricey. But when we got back by the Big hotel area and walked that Huge Central Mall every one of the top end restaurants was packed. I browsed a few menus, Japanese Sushi will thin a wallet fast here. We later went up to a roof top to have a cocktail and Don Julio Anejo neat was $17. My wife had a margarita and it was $15 and the place was packed and drinks were flowing.

I do not mind the city for a visit. Its a nice change up and reminds me that if I can't find something where I live, BKK will likely have it somewhere. My wife's friend and husband met up with us for dinner and I was surprised to find that a small 1 bedroom condo in the On Nut area rents for 40,000 baht.

Anyway not bashing BKK, Just noting what it was like for me to go back. I will stick with my north life. Let the hair spray and make up wars stay in the city

You can find 1 bed apartments from around 5,000 baht there also.

What was the name of the condo for 40k a month?

My guess is its a serviced apartment
