I can stretch to it if I want but I don't want....

In fact, a chat with my wife last night who has been doing the viewings to date concurs with a lot of the negative things said here and in that article....

Cheap condos, paying over the odds for shit fixtures and fittings, the buildings will be off the fashionable end in a few years time.....

You get what you pay for and I'm not willing to pay for much, I'd rather buy another house in the UK and use the 50K GBP to improve on what I can buy there.

That said, mind is still open, Deckwan..... PM me an area that you are talking about... I have my ideas but just confirm, no need to tell me the exact location.

I think you've made a wise choice with your wife already Bob.

You could buy a 3 bed semi in the UK for 4.5 million baht and you know it will appreciate too.

You double that you might buy one in sunny Renfrew in Scotland in a not too friendly part of town.

Come on man, we all know the score.

60m2 in Knightsbridge will set you back 2-5 million quid, but the same size property in the arse-end of Saltford or Toxteth will be on offer at auction for a quid.

However, the price will rise accordingly.

Saying that, relatively, the price rise in London and CENTRAL Bangkok (%wise) over the last few years have been almost exactly the same.

    It's easy, as Dapper said.

    I agree with this too.

The missus bought two little condos from the bank sites, no problems at all.

She didn't use a lawyer, did it all herself, and had never done it before. Pretty easy it was.

    Sounds perfect.....
Err, sorry to prick your little fantasy bubble but anything going for 30k psm in Bangkok will either be in a ruinous state with legal and construction problems and no sinking fund or a chickenhead project stuck in some dreadful part of town.

Folk here talk such utter bollox.

Anything decent in a reasonable build in a civilised part of the city where one would wish to be, will cost around 100k psm minimum in Bkk.
