3-year thread bump. My Remington still going strong after another 3 years. The hair clipper unit that is, shaved off my goatee ages ago.

I am using a Braun electric beard trimmer for the last 25 years or so - also great for cutting your hair.

I forked over 2600 THB for a Braun electric beard trimmer and used it for a week. I never had the feeling it gave a close shave.
You mileage was pretty good.
