Yes. Food prices here have jumped up in the last week.
The thing I noticed the most is the price of the chicken meat scraps I use to make dog food. It has been 60 baht per kilo is now 70 baht. The chicken vendor was complaining there was no forewarning of the wholesale price increase.
Can you put your recipe /method for this in a separate thread? I want to get my dogs off of kibble especially after I found small maggots in a bag of Hill recently.Originally Posted by misskit
Oh, and OP. No. Pad krappo moo glop kie dow mai suk mak still 35-40 baht in the two shops I go to in the dark side pattaya.
Medium pizza from Pizza Company recently jumped from 359b to 379b. This is after last year's increase from 329b. Everything is getting more expensive.
^^ Just look around for deep-fried carcasses. You can buy them whole or by the bag (shredded into little bits).
Eggs have just gone up 16%
The price have not gone up where I am beers, egg's & Pork the standard price.
For 9 quid you basically I getting a small pizza. Cant feed me and one kid. Its just not big enough. They have got the 299 special going for the pizza, 4 pieces of chicken and garlic bread though.
^£8.61 or thereabouts isn't it?... still too much for a crappy medium sized pizza (in any country).
nope for June.
Welcome to The Pizza Company 1112
^That's a good deal. This month the same thing was a hundred baht more. Pizza Hut is cheaper on everything now but the pizza is shite. For that matter Pizza Company is shite too. A new Dominos is opening in my neighborhood - which will probably be shite as well.
I prefer Scoozi, but its not good at all the day after. 299 will be had one night at my home. I will whip up another 10 chicken wings and a loaf of garlic bread, then its almost enough for me and two kids. Throw in a salad with croutons and it will be swell.
now the rains have come the grass( grass thats a joke) has sprung up,
last year 300b, this year 500b,
would do it myself but its 2.50 rai and its hot out there,
plus the law sais ime not to take work from a thai
but still 500b, tosser,
life is what happens to us while we are making other plans
Twin of Big Changs here have gone up 2 baht.
For dog food? They are not Merkin dogs mate.Originally Posted by Zooheekock
Yes, they have. A packet of Hula Hoops is now 95 fucking pence.
Large cans of chang up 2 Baht to 42
Damn! Went to the market today and the chicken scraps was up to 80 baht per kilo today. From 60 to 80 within the last couple of weeks. Poor dogs gonna have to learn to be vegetarians.
^^I buy the packaged frozen ground up chicken dog food at Foodland. Price has held steady at 40 baht for a long time. Mix it with 3 cups of cooked rice and it lasts about 4-5 days. Contains lots of bone meal so it keeps things nice and solid coming out the other end too.
^ Thanks for that but no Foodland here in Chaing Mai. The only frozen dog food I've found here is dodgy stuff. When thawed is half liquid and smells funny. Someone told me it is ground lungs.
I'll do homemade dog food thread later today. They don't really have to become vegetarians.
