Yes I believe that to be true. Certainly is the case at our local stopOriginally Posted by harrry

Well the kids grow up quickly so do lots more new things with them. In a few years memories will be all you have left and they are worth it.
They're still consoling themselves with Barbie DVDs. The choo-choo train was evidently a harrowing ordeal..Originally Posted by harrry

It's a wig patsy, she is scared one day someone might find the link between her and the 'slap'.
Poor lass. What a stigma that would be..Originally Posted by Satonic

I think Harry was feeling a touch sentimental. On the scotch were you 'Azzer?Originally Posted by DrAndy

All the people looking at you in those picks look like they want to kill you, including, I suspect, the children.
They were all very pleasant actually - apart from the loonies. I was asked by numerous people if I wanted a seat. I may have looked on the verge on expiry.Originally Posted by Necron99
The one train a day into Bangkok from Pattaya trundles along at about 3 1/2 hours to the capital. For 30 Baht you can see just as many loonies, oddballs and wrinkled old somtam sellers. Very scenic journey apart from that.
I've written a story for my book about getting on the free train from Bangers to Isaan. I was drunk, so was everyone else..it was erm, colourful, can we say.
this thread is quite scary actually, hopefully it's all fiction, not reality
I was hammered on a train to Si sakiet a few years ago, much the amusement of the other passengers, one kid shouted ''Mr Bean'' as I lurched to the toilet for the tenth time only an hour into the journey
Absolutely true. But as I mentioned, the baby snatcher seemed to be taken with a pinch of salt by most people, so he may just be a harmless spastic known to the railway authorities - but at the same time, who wants to be on a train with that shit going on.Originally Posted by Butterfly
As long as you don't have to do a number two, then that's OK. Which brings me to my next tip: Don't eat the free breakfast. Approximately 30 seconds from gullet to anus.Originally Posted by DJ Pat

Sentimental maybe. I could not help thiking back to some trips with my daughter. The Hatyai Penang train when she was 4,from perth to Cairns when she was 6 many in India when she was about 8 including a 6 months railpass. By the time she got to high school she had her own things to do and now is far away in Switzerland.
As I said memories stay.
It may be sentimental but that's not something I am ashamed of.
Of course not.Originally Posted by harrry
