Anyone watch the Iron Chef competition? Last night there was a gentleman by the name of Kittichai on the ICA program. Interesting challenge with tea being the secret ingredient. He lost but, hard to beat the Iron Chefs. Wonder if he wasn't from Isaan?

I didn`t watch last night but have seen it other times.

They certainly are enthusiastic about their cooking.

Which "Iron chef" program? America? The original (the Japanese one) ended in 1999 (although I hear there is a new one started?). But there are many "Iron chef country" - including Thailand where Kittichai is one of the Iron chefs......

That is the guy. He has two places in BKK and one in NYC.

The Jap one did end but, there is actually an Iron Chef competition in Thailand if my English comprehension is correct. That is based upon the show from the other night in the US.

I am assuming that no one on this forum has eaten at his BKK restaurants.
