That sums me up Binge drinker!
Trouble here is every days the week end.
I have plenty of interests mate but not being settled and organized its pretty hard to do fuck all.
You make some good points but once I stop I don,t miss it,not making excuses but being around pissed up idiots with lots of stress did me no favours.
Did not touch a drop for the first 3 months here, giving in and getting back on it was a mistake.
Soon to be rectified!.

Glad to hear that you did not get seriously hurt. But, I have to think that based on the information that you have so kindly shared with us, you may well get on the wagon only to at some time in the future get off the wagon. Sorry buddy, but the writing is on the wall, you are talking like a classic alcoholic. Really. I offer for your consideration:
1. 4-5 beers is not enough and only gets you started
2. you drink everyday (by the way, points 1 and 2 is the classic definition of an alcoholic).
3. your ability to think is greatly hindered when you are drinking i.e. jump on a bike to get more
4. you have had a near death experience and your answer to that is ... ok, i'm only going to have one more truly epic binge before quitting forever. Screw the one day at a time strategy ....
5. you have quit before and for a rather long time and yet still for whatever reason returned to drinking
Sorry mate, alcohol is an addiction that many of us share with you, yes in can be beaten but from what you have written, I am not seeing a good case to bet for your success.
So I look forward to reading about your future experiences ... thanks for sharing and Happy New Year.
cheers
Well said BW I know its not what ol Gravy wants to hear , but unfortunately I have witnessed the same pattern in my family .
Just once more and then thats it ,,
There is only one person who can ever make the change for good and its wholly dependant on him / her wanting to do it.
Wish you luck with it Gravy , will come and pay you a visit when I come over
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
You get used to it after a while Dave. Trust me on that.Originally Posted by Gravesend Dave

It's not just you that you should be angry with. Your wife and kids should mean more to you than a few more beers.
The roads are full of Thais, young, old, five on a scooter for christs sake.
Take this as a warning, you don't get many.
You need to get stuck into a project, anything you choose, but start it and make sure you finish it. Then start another.
Stop pissing your life away. Time is precious make sure you use it well.
And by the way have a great New Year

Im going to agree with some of that for sure.
I have always liked a drink but am more than capable of knocking it on the head.
Some would put me down for an alcoholic,I never drink spirits or anything else that tastes rank so consider myself a greedy fucking binge drinker!
I have strong willpower when put to use but tes did slip back into it after 3 months here.
Not going to bore you with the details or make excuses,I think a lot in the same boat would have been bang on it within a fortnight!.
Thanks for your thoughts feller have a good one.
Make you right Satonic,I am actually pretty good on a bike having been into motocross bikes since about 13.
Had my fair share of spills in that field, also hold British bike licence but was lucky enough not to have any incidents apart from some prick rear ending me at a set of lights.Only minor no damage done.
Now I a bit older Im far more careful and am well aware how easy it is to get seriously fucked or killed on a bike!
I am stupid for getting complacent by following suit and risking riding while tanked up without even a lid!.
Still plan to get me Honda CRF just as soon as the house is up,happy riding.
Information only: 10,000 head injuries in Thailand every year from motorcy accidents. Many sent to Chiang Mai's Numerological center.
Let me know when you do Dave, we can meet for a ride!Originally Posted by Gravesend Dave
