need help translating

hi i would like if some one could help me i need to get two things translated from english writing to thai, for my thai shorts first is "LOIS" and the second is "NEVER BACK DOWN"

"Never back down" - impossible to translate as not the correct psyche (or word to that effect)

Lois is Greek and means "superior", the exact Thai translation of the real Greek meaning would be หลวง, luang, although as that word is normally used for Royalty or very senior monks I wouldn't recommend you use it. An alternative is ญาณ, Yaan, that means superior in wisdom or experience so not an exact translation but it's close enough and it is an acceptable Thai nickname.

Never back down is สู้ไม่ถอย, su mai thaay, "never retreat", or อย่ายอมแพ้, yaa yawm phae, "never give up". There are a few dozen similar expressions I know of but they're pretty obscene, for all the lonely-planet bullshit you hear about polite Thais they have an enormous amount of obscene slang, (not as bad as Russian but Thai pisses on English when it comes to interesting ways to tell people to sod off), but the above phrases, with the exception of หลวง, which is too high rather than too low, are perfectly acceptable in polite company.

อย่ายอมตาม, yaa yawm dtam, mentioned above, is OK too. It means "don't give in" or "don't treat anybody as your superior".

BTW, I don't think there is an exact translation into Thai for Lois, you will probably have to spell it phonetically. Just google the Thai alphabet. Oh, remember that Thais will generally pronounce the "s" at the end of word as a "t" no matter what.
