| The Dog | Vientiane - Wat Inpeng Temple Wat Inpeng is really only worth visiting if you are staying really close to it, ie Phornthip Guesthouse (Vientiane Guesthouse - Phornthip Guest House), other than that just give it a miss, it was first built in the 16th century and all that remains from then that I saw was a couple of pieces of stone. Everything else is modern day Buddhist stuff so a bit boring. One of the animals guarding the entrance. The main Temple. The drum tower for the band or whatever. Looks pretty smart. And of course the Monks rooms.
