   | Lost in Laos part deux. The next leg was up to Luang Prabang the famous "Cultural Heritage Town". We were only going to stay in Luang Prabang one night but it proved to be interesting enough for two nights. The coffee shop and Nazim resto are worth it too. The drive from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang is one of the most spectacular drives on the planet. I didn't get many pics and landscape pics are boring anyway. The road heading into the mountains from Vang Vieng:  LP street:  Temple roof detail:  Bhodi tree gift from India:  Monks enjoying the view from hilltop temple:  the buddhas:  Happy lady selling some hot stuff:  Roof detail of royal palace now national museum:  Old lady and tree:  Being a motorhead no post is complete without a vehicle: Chinese 4x4  To be continued.... the getting lost part is yet to come.  |
