The Tomo river as seen from the temple ruins.
This was at a temple high on a hill we stopped at on the way back from Si Pan Don. The building had several of these pictures that told stories of the past.

Kudos, this thread and photos is the most enjoyable i've read in a long time on any SEA forum. Well written.
Vientianne is my fave capital city in SEA, and Laos is my fave country.
If i knew back then what i know now, i would prolly live in Laos rather than Thailand.
Both peoples, Lao & Isaan are the most loving, giving, genuine people in SEA.
We'll get back to you.Someday, I promise. ...fish.
Then we'll have a retirement home thread.Until then I'm just playing with the thought.Yellow fever? I've the bug allright .'Now to sort through all this footage of the last trip.
