Every day they drag these baskets off the farm to be sold at the market. I see it is hard work non stop every day. It is life for them.

Yes it is a girls bike and so she has it. I wouldn't have had it any other way. This is the road less traveled as most take the short cut.

The white on the left is the fish farm. This road will be paved soon they say.If and when we shall see and then I may take this place more seriously.

This is the face of shear gratitude. As Bob Dylan once said "it takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry."

The road out of the farm. They loaned me this scooter but you could rent one out of Pakse for cheep. I went to the dealer and found new ones for 1400 usd but you need a trusted person to title it for you. Fredwiggy where are you now?

Mrs fish giving cooking lessons to the children of Laos. Yes we have a full kitchen down stairs but found it convenient to have this camp stove upstairs. As the talking heads would say "cause that's the way that we live."

From the hotel looking to Pakse Proper. The Aryan hotel in the distance. It is on the river and I think about 60usd gets you there. A way cooler place down the road I have to sort through the pics and that may take some time.

The lit up object to the upper right is the statue the gf was pointing from in an earlier pic.

We had a picnic with the commander and his family. He got us in for free. A wink and a nod and past the gate. Say no more.

Near the picnic spot above the falls. I took a few minutes and wondered off. Not a bad place to be and the weather was perfect. Kids frolicking in the river.

This is the guy, center, that invited me in on his land purchase, his wife on the left. He said it would be a good experience for me. They feed me beers from the start. I freaked when the guy on the right showed up with the land papers. He was the mechanic that raised the seat on the bike an hour earlier. I tried to explain to him I was a vesalagone but who the hell really cares anyway. Small world after all.
