So Hezbollah, the local government, which provides schooling and medical care etc., why do they fail to move their people to safety when the Isrealis warn people to leave? It's the government's responsibility to care for their people.

How does one do that when roads, bridges, airports, and infrastructure are being bombed by an aggressor with far superior air support and artillery?

Why do those members of Hezbollah who are the actual terrorists hid behaind women and children and UN observers to fight a war ? Why do the cover heir faces and heads with jerk off rags ? If they don't want their people to do die why are they afraid to identify themselves as enemy combatants ?

Who attempted to assassinate Israeli Ambassador Shlomo Argove on June 3rd, 1982 in London ?

What asassinated Lebanese president-elect Gemayel just before his inaugaration in September 1982 ? Why would the Syrians do such a thing ?

And for that matter what happened to all the Christians that used to be in power in Lebanon ?

Why did Arafat get expelled from Lebanon after the crisis in 1982 ?

Why didn't Israel kill Arafat when he was a big, fat target as he left lLebanon on the cruise line Atlantis as he was expelled from Lebanon by the Arabs ?

Simple, really - that's always been a tactic when facing an overwhelmingly strong enemy in one's own territory.

So you do advocate violence then ? The intifada in 1987-1988 was alot more successful and all they did was throw stones. The Palestinians got a hell of a lot more from Israel by responding peacefully than they ever have through violence. All they get when they kill Israelis is the hammer.

You really need to stop twisting around what others say.
You asked "why" and I explained it. Not advocating anything here. It's not that difficult to see why they fight like this.

    Good point here.

This is sad. Lebanese Christian used to be about 50% of the population. The Palestinians pooped in their churches, used the Bible as toilet paper, and hunted them.

Not the Christian population is much lower.

And the Shias have a lot more power.

This = Lebanon not as good as it used to be.

Kudos to SK for noting how Arafat and the Paelstinians killed, harrassed, and sh*t in churches.

Oh! But they are winning the media battle because the media won't report their true intentions.!

You prompted me to read more ... and to tell you the truth it didn't take but a few books to learn more than just about anybody posting on the subject in this forum.

And all the Israelis did was shooting and killing more than a thousand of the Palestinians, more than a fifth of whom were children.

the blood thirsty 'new american century' crowd are anxious to turn this into a war of civilizations. thankfully they'll soon lose control of US foreign policy.

i remember reading recently about the possiblity that the last thing the GWB admin might do on the way out the door is bomb the alleged nuclear weapons sites in iran.

Interesting revelation, care to share your inspiration?

The only wanton blood thirst and genocidal intents are openly being displayed by the Jihadists and the countries who openly support them.
Hopefully you are keeping up enough with news to know what I'm talking about.

I'll research your comments but I do not remember reading about your allegations.

The fact of the matter is that Arafat was gone, banished, dead in the water ... the PLO was dying a slow death ... the intifida caught them by surprise ... they observed and then jumped on the bandwagon and took over ... without the intifada .... PLO was over.

The cause of the intifiada was a major, major blunder on the part of Israel.

    Earl,

Heads up ... this guy will mostly just antogonize. Never has anything constructive to say. He's a worse troll than butterfly on a good day.

The only reason he's posting here is because the ajarn forum is nothing but a bunch of liberals stroking each other's mules giving reach arounds.

Most of the posters on that form who have dissenting opinions tire of the abuse and stop posting ... in one particular case, mine, they whine and complained to LDMA who banned me under false pretenses. They even went so far at to register mulitple nicks to attack me ... nicks that disappeared once the banning went into effect.

If ray keeps posting his tired ass bullshit here now I'm afraid DD is going to have to take some sort of action.

Comments like "the blood thirsty 'new american century' crowd" are unlikely to gain much credibility here, but if you find it too annoying, there's always the option to put the poster on "ignore".
