I don't hate America, and in fact history shows we have a lot to thank them for.

One thing that does irk me is the government policy (whoever's in power) and their clear support for anything and with regard to Israel and at the same time trying to convince the rest of the world that they are batting for both sides.

I'm not sure what you're getting at to be honest. How does Obama's proposed tax plan automatically equate to "fiscally irresponsible governance"? Why will the budget on social welfare be squandered? It's not as though it's in such great shape right now.

If you contrast Obama's proposals with those of McCain (essentially more of the same as there has been under Bush) how can that automatically be characterised as 'worse'. It has been the Republicans at the helm these past years as the economy has gone down the gurgler. When Bush entered office following the Clinton administration there was a surplus. Again the whole Democrats=Tax Mad/Fiscally Irresponsible thing is a myth and doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

TDers like Ant have devoted their lives to seeking out information that shows America in a negative light and have spend hundreds of hours of their lives expressing their hatred of America, and yet I suspect most of them voted "no" in the poll and therefore all is forgiven.

Yeah, kind of cool isn't it? But do you notice, it pisses off those who have the most radical leftist views the most? What really pisses them off is they know I am right deep down in their bones and they have no evidence to contradict anything I write, so they resort to personal attacks and name calling (as well as calls to the mods to have me censored). They prefer doing "battle" with flag waving American Republicans who they can have a never ended shouting match with.

People with closed minds don't really like to be confronted with evidence that contradicts their views and which can not be discounted logically (Festinger's cognitive dissonance explains this very well for the academically minded, for others we can just claim the radical lefties are thick as dog shit).

I was in Manila for two days on business last week and was channel surfing before lights out and happened upon FoxNews.

As it is good for a laugh in very small doses I watched a bit when the dweeby blond-ish guy made a comment about the Olympics:

"To show you viewers how much people foreigners hate America, this is the last Olympics where women's softball will be part of the program.
They don't like us winning as team USA has never lost an Olympic softball match and they don't want us to win so they're canceling the sport etc etc etc"

In the final of the Olympic women's softball tournament Japan beat the USA 3:1
