"While statistics are notoriously hard to come by due to the private nature of such crimes and the fact that very few are reported, the United Nations Population Fund approximates that as many as 5,000 women are murdered in this manner each year worldwide. Undoubtedly that's a low estimate, as reports from Turkey, Jordan, Pakistan and the Palestinian territories, among other locales, are filtering in at an alarming rate. Add to the list Germany, Sweden, other parts of Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, and it's clear that young Muslim women in the West are becoming increasingly vulnerable."

Muslims have told me it's not the "same as xians." The Quran is the literaly word of god whereas the Christian Bible was written by people, and edited over time. Hence, el al-kitab "people of the book."

Obs, your oversimplifying, taking sides and mucking up the thread. Let Macha answer the question since he knows more about you on this topic.

The Koran states flogging 100 lashes (I think), but the Hadith Sahih Al Bukhari mentions stoning 4 times. (The Prophet ordered a man from the tribe Bani Aslam to be stoned to death.)
A question arrises as to whether this incident happened before or after the revelation you quote 24.2 "The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication flog each of them".

The Quranic verses were revealed to Mohammad in parts over 20+ years. Muslims who have the brains to go through the past incidents and compare events will definitely come to the same conclusion as me, that is, if ever Mohammed ordered any stoning then it was before the revelation of verse 24:2 as he was practicing the laws of Moses and Abraham.

Today, majority of Muslims refer to verse 24:3, not stoning to death.

I see you posting in issues again. Don't you remember what I said? Stay well away from this section. Fuck off now.

Just to answer your absurd question and lame attempt at showing presenting yourself as an intelligent poster "I never said, I don't agree with them all the time". If a scholar is directing his followers to stone someone to death then I don't agree. If the same scholar is asking his followers to go and distribute food among poors then I agree.

Very simple thing to understand but seeing that you are a retarded person, I'll forgive your ignorance.

Lying again? Surely it is your duty to ensure all good Muslim women cover their heads, because it says so in the Koran.

Quran doesn't say that men should force women to put on hijab, you fuckwit.

You'd only understand my posts, if you had brains. Do you know brain is a pre-requisite for holding an educated discussion?

Educated and intelligent posters are welcome to have discussion. Not you, sorry.

Re-read the posts and try to understand what is going on. Feck me, you're a native English nutter. Shouldn't be hard for you to comprehend.

There are radical Muslims and radical Christians.
Invading peoples countries and backing unjust military dictatorships who suppress the masses by force of arms is sure to bring out the more radical elements of any religion. We get back what we give out. The war against terror and radical Mulisism can never be won by oppression of the people and military force.

The Koran states that women should dress modestly
I don't think there is anything about veils etc.

And when was the last time Christians went and cut people heads off or stoned someone death?

It is not a religious war in Iraq.

Whilst I'm inclined to agree with you it's easy to see how some might be confused:

Quote:
-A President must set great goals, worthy of a great nation. We're a great nation. Therefore, a President must set big goals. I set a goal for this country to make the world more peaceful by spreading freedom. Freedom is not America's gift to the world, freedom is God's gift to each and every individual in the world. I set a great goal here at home.

-I based a lot of my foreign policy decisions on some things that I think are true. One, I believe there's an Almighty, and secondly, I believe one of the great gifts of the Almighty is the desire in everybody's soul, regardless of what you look like or where you live, to be free.

-The short-term objective of this country is to find an enemy and bring them to justice before they strike us. The long-term objective is to make this world a more free and hopeful and peaceful place. I believe we'll succeed because freedom is the Almighty God's gift to every man and woman in this world.

-I trust God speaks through me. Without that, I couldn't do my job.

-All of you — all in this generation of our military — have taken up the highest calling of history. You're defending your country, and protecting the innocent from harm. And wherever you go, you carry a message of hope — a message that is ancient and ever new. In the words of the prophet Isaiah, "To the captives, 'come out,' — and to those in darkness, 'be free.'

G. W. Bush.

Exactly. Islam isn't the problem; sociopathic, misogynist, psychotic wankers are the problem and they use Islam to justify their actions. The religion itself is not to blame, and it's rather sad to see it misappropriated in such a manner.

A bit like 'God told me to invade Iraq and persecute homos' really. Religion will always be used by bastards because it's a powerful controlling tool.
