Not sure. I'll check my more recent text reference when I get to it later. I also have to limit my internet research of topics like this mainly to the evenings because of my present location.

Evening here is later than in LOS.

Most certainly! Religion has been a tool used to subjugate the masses to the will of the ruling elite for thousands of years.

MLK, a master at using the pulpit as a means to bring the masses under his sway. For his audience "free" had a slightly different connotation than freedom from control by the ruling class. None the less it is a bit of an oxymoron.
