What some of you don't realize, is this story is about a mini-mart gift shop on GITMO. The only people allowed to shop there are GIs and their families. I would imagine the personnel working there have a pretty droll image about the place. It strikes me as an attempt to make a shit assignment a tiny bit more bearable.
I was living at an air base in Saudi Arabia a few years ago where they sold similar type stuff. Should the GIs be ashamed of that too?
