Let me make a point here. If and when you download and install any SP, it is more than wise to reboot and then make certain that there is nothing, such as firewall, spam program, or any program for that matter, running. This was made abundantly clear with the introduction of SP2 several years ago. There were serious conflicts and the implimentation of SP2 caused a high percentage of systems to become screwed up.

You want there to be no conflicts while the SP is being installed.

Don't forget to create a Restore Point before you load it onto your computer.
Restore Points have saved my arse plenty of times.

It's still a Realease Candidate, I'll wait for the final version in french.

And I'm still making backup images of both my updated XP and Mandriva OS's. Never know what can happen.

No need - you do weekly an image of your harddisk (the one with the OS on it) and have a backup that does hourly backups of your .doc. mails and maybe some others like docs and settings.
This is far better and much more secure than the restore point that may - or may not restore when needed.

it's a RC, I wouldn't bother installing a SP for any Windows versions before it's officially announced and then wait another 6 months for any major fuckup,

Why fix it when it works,

MS is hardly on the downward slope, modern capitalism has this great ability to "maintain" inferior products as long as players have enough money in the bank to buyout or bankrupt all their competitors. Think of it as "privatized" communism where dysfunctional mega corporations run inefficient businesses as long as they can afford it by charging clueless and confused consumers.

^ it doesn't matter, retail consumers is not their primary target, they make a fortune with corporations, their license contract force them to upgrade to latest Windows version if they want support, or else they are fucked

They are holding their customers at gunpoint, and since their corporate customers are cowards, above all corporate management, they comply and take it in the ass with a big smile

Hey Butterfly, got any wonderful pictures of those Evil private businesses holding their customers at "gunpoint" while they FORCE their will on them? I am dying to see a video of this.

Now, this happens all the time, with your precious State entity. But then again, they actually have the power to place people at gunpoint, don't they?

This brings me to the question here. Are you the "Official" Fool/Heyoka here at Teak Door? I'm just curious, because at "Jane" we have one, and he is quite good at his position. You have to have a great deal of practice to be good, don't you know?

As a matter of fact there are lots of picture of this coming from the Fascist regime of Japan, before WWII, as soldiers Raped Nanking. Most of the other Leftist monsters, such as the NSDAP, and the Commies of Union of Soviet Socialists and PRC did so without the good graces of allowing photographers. However, there are many eyewitness accounts. I'd provide links to some of the sites, but you would not bother with them anyay, since they violate your "Utopian" view of how the World should Work.

I already have my 'day job' thank you. But you are cordially invited to try out as a replacement for "Q". He's a natural, so you would have to work hard at it.

Soooooo, in other words, you can't produce any pictures of this happening? I'm still waiting with bated breath. Changing the subject will not gain you any 'brownie' points for a Genius of a bloke, such as yourself.

I thought so. All I wish for you to do is just produce ONE picture, or ONE nice little video showing us just what you are saying. That's all we ask of you, which isn't too much from the intellectually degenerate crowd.

This is true. At our place we're moving away from licensed applications and using free stuff like Thunderbird and Open Office, as it's just too expensive to use licensed English language software. Another company I know moved over to Linux for everyone in the office a couple of years ago and is very happy.

Furthermore, the fact that they hate big business, the highly successful, or anyone who has accomplished more than they, they still Love the largest and most dangerous entity/corporative grouping in the world: Big Government. They even fail to realize that it is the very State that is responsible for giving certain businesses(the ones they deplore) powers they should not posess.
