'I want them to stop harassing OPEC countries,' he told the Spanish newspaper El Pais, when asked about the U.S. Congress allowing suits against OPEC members for conspiring to restrict supplies or drive up prices.
    What a good idea.

Maybe the US could spend the millions that it would cost to sue OPEC into fuel efficient energies or alternative forms.

Report a few months back in the UK.

To run a diesel and for it to be more economical than a petrol you have to do in excess of 40,000 miles a year now.

I think it might depend on in which country. Some places diesel prices are higher than petrol. Appreciate if you could post a link to the UK report.

^Dead right, In January my (2007) Civic 2.0 Litre engine averaged 1 baht per km, the same as my BiL (2000) Toyota Tiger diesel, he drive at 80kms per hour as much as possible, I drove economically but had moments of adrenaline.
So in a country where diesel is more expensive - like Australia or believe it or not the UAE, with new cars, petrol wins out.

Some clever bloke on tv pointed out that if you buy a toyota fortuner in thailand the gasoline version is 200,000 baht cheaper than the diesel version. you would have to drive the gasoline version 40,000 kms before you have paid the diesel vehicle list price which for some might be 2 or 3 years.
