Why is it always the legacy-thinking guilt-ridden white males who rail against discrimination of blacks only. What about discrimination of Asian females?

Minorities on two counts, but yet we manage to rise above it to attain success in America, and we don't blame anyone else. Yes, we have strong family values, but we have a strong work ethic and determination. We don't get the advantages the hispanics or blacks get.

From my experience, the asian-black divide is far greater than the black-white divide. The biggist problem being asians aren't generally as sensitive to race issues. Blacks are probably the most sensitive.

Thanks for the welcome. I have strong feelings about this. We moved to the US from China when I was 10 years old. My parents had nothing, my father was a low paid researcher, and none of us spoke English. My parents worked themselves to the bone at several jobs to pay for my college. I ended up advancing through my profession early on, and moved back to Asia and now take care of my parents. In looking through this board, it does appear to be a lot of men who appreciate Asian women - some as sex objects or compliant wives, and also some as co-equal partners. I have no problem with that as I'm easy going and understand Thailand, but I had to fight against white males to get where I am, and have experienced both sexism and racism.

Honestly? We are scared to death of them generally. It's not in a racist or hatred kind of way, but just generally fearful of their reputation and also perhaps there is something physically intimidating about blacks.

As I responded to another post, for Asians, it is mostly a fear factor thing. Asians, not having a lot of exposure to blacks in their home countries, and hearing many stories about crime in American and elsewhere, tend to be very timid and afraid of blacks.
