| Senior Member | Exposing the Real Che Guevara and the Useful Idiots Who Idolize Him "He’s the ultimate symbol of radical chic but was Che Guevara really a homophobic, racist square who personally ordered the jailing and executions of innocent men, women and children?" He also hated long-haired dope-smoking Hippies and didn't much care for rock & roll either! ![]() http://www.muckraked.com/wordpress/2007/06/07/turning-the-page-the-real-che/] Source

| Your link doesn't work boonie- it opens, but no Che article. Anyway, to put things in perspective, I think Che is more of a pop art symbol of defiance than an actual figure of personal veneration. A radical chic icon if you like, but usually given the Warhol treatment. He was a babe magnet though.

| Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb | Che just rode on Castro's coat-tails. He appeals to the romantics "Doctor from wealthy family gives it all up to help the down-trodden of the world". He was a lousy revolutionary when it came to military operations, totally inept. But, he was a doctor, not a soldier. He'll be remembered for the iconic image you see on so many T-shirts, not his accomplishments.
