You're right. It was Mhz. My apologies Boon Mee (though he was a likely suspect).

perhaps he wasn't the greatest military tactician, but he was integral force in ousting the batista regime.

btw, he is not responsible for his becoming an icon.

I also found that film "Motorcycle Diaries" disingenuous propaganda by disguising who he really was.

That's the problem, I liked the film too. It's a an excellent film.
It simply surreptitiously idealizes a murderous scum-bag.
And this is just fine if you're from Hollywood.

That's also the reason for the right-wingers hate campaign against him.
They'll never forgive them who do the reverse class journey.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with murderous hypocrisy.

^^^

I hear Boon's point on the pop-culture part of Che. A lot of the middle-class, sheltered suburbanites who are backpacking, staying in their air-conditioned hotels, wear t-shirts of Che, and other logos.

Then they'll likely return to the cubicle for 9 to 5.

Have they done anything?

No, and most supporters of anything, usually don't actually do anything.

It's like the U.S. flag waving I see a lot.

It seems not everybody shares your myopic hate-Che disparaging which is surreptitiously posted by you whenever the name is mentioned.

It's always the same flag-waving patriots who go ballistic whenever any active anti-establishment figure is discussed, be it Che, MM, Chomsky or Carter. The knee-jerk reactions are quite bemusing.
