It is a long weekend here, staying at a lovely hotel with great views of Mount Salak, a volcano. Mostly have been eating and shopping, some golf is on the cards as well...

this is the view out of our hotel window, taken about 7.00am - yesterday I waited since the light is not great, but by midday the mountain was completely covered in haze... so I took a couple of pics today and tried to 'pop' them, but not super successful.

novotel was booke dout, so we got this hotel instead, actually the deluxe room aint too bad.

middle eastern theme in the lobby...

plus some extra large chinese vases...

a central courtyard and swimming pool (too cold for me to swim in though)

What is the elevation of the town? Is it cooler up there?

As I remember the elevation is about 290 metres or something, but it is noticably cooler, and rains an awful lot.

Not sure exactly why.

I remember wandering around the Botanical gardens there, lots of fruit bats hanging on some trees, amazing sight

there is also some volcanic stuff to see

I also had my first Indo sex in Bogor, a dirty weekend
