Decided to do a quick 10 day trip to Bali to cut out the rest of my holidays, stayed at this great little hotel 500 meters from the beach up at Legian near the Bungy jump on 66 street. Choice bro.Check it out if you ever venture over.

Snapped this photo of the lovely Bintang lager. I think its a dodge brew as I tended to fall over after 15 stubbies.

Why did it stop? Did you reach the 15 stubbies?

This hotel is approximately 20 minutes from the airport at a cost of 60,000 rupiah. Around $ 7. A tad cheaper than the $60 taxi fare that it costs to get to the airport back in Farang land.

My friendly front desk dude. Fantastic people are the Balinese and seem to have that edge over the Thais.

The reception is open 24 hours and the staff are always pottering around the joint.

Funny you breached that subject as just around the corner on the beach was a pick up joint with the worlds most ugliest katoey but surely most attractive to one of members, that person being Butters.

The "real" Balinese are the greatest bunch of people on the earth, and their Engish and standards of service are much higher than here. For the most part you only have to remember 4 names as well. Wayan, first born, Made, the second, Nyoman, the third, and Ketut, the forth, and it starts again.

They never forget you as well. Went back after 28 years and they knew who I was, were happy and I was over the moon. Nice thread so far.

Ate many meals in this little restaurant as the food was cracking at bargain prices.
Steak, salad and chips for $ 5 and a great range of Asian.

Now we head off to the rooms which all look down over the pool or the gardens. Nice gardens and good atmosphere in a small hotel format. Best of all they don't take tour groups and there was a good mix of local tourists from Jakarta and the few foreigners that float through.A little gem one could say.

The taxi was 60000 RP and the hotel was 375000 including breakfast. Approx $ 42 AUD. Screaming bargain given the location and size of the rooms.

Large 2 bedroom double on-suite family bungalows around $90.

They told me that sometimes they get tourists from England and they like to have a bath once a week only as they have an aversion for water.
