Lately I've been having an afternoon drink at a little warung nearby....

they do a mean orange juice, mango juice, melon juice havent yet tried the Jackfruit or tomato juice however, today I tried the Avocado juice.

pretty reasonable for 3000 rupiah (about 30 cents) or 10 baht!

    Be careful!!!

I am a person always checking the expiration dates of all my food and looking for clean places to eat.

What happened to me in Malaysia - I ordered a Banana Lassie - nothing special. It is a drink looking as good as this. The same evening I could not leave the toilet anymore. Was thinking - no big problem. Three weeks later I got pain in the knee joint. Thought it came from the aircon.

To cut a long story short. I suffered for almost 2 years of joint problems. But in a way that I could not even walk sometimes. I did not know what I could do in the future - it got worse and worse. I consulted many doctors - no help.

I had luck. After all this time it suddenly disappeared. But as I found out almost 80 percent are not so lucky and will suffer for the rest of their life!

So my advice - ALWAYS be careful what you eat and drink!!! This drink looks good - my drink did it too... But this was only one of many problems I had in my 10 years here in Asia with food. And again - I am very careful.

One more thing you should think about - worms. I had strange pain in my belly and was afraid the liver will quit the job because of all the beers. By accident I found out that I had endless worms - a common problem here. After some pills no problem anymore with the beer.

Well Pattaya is a damn good place to catch something you can not wash off with soap and water too.

So anyway, what caused the joint problems?? WORMS??

No, not the worms. There are bacteria you will not forget - they cause this special kind of arthritis.

The worms are mostly not dangerous - as long as you are not a kid. But they might suck a lot of blood and cause some problems because of this - like being tired all the time. In kids they are VERY dangerous since they take away food needed for the development of the kids. Mostly the development of the brain will be affected.
