Why do I get a message saying "spread your repos around" when I try to allocate some? I dish out few, but this message pops up even when i'm trying to give one to someone for the first time ever. (no, not you dog)

You need 10 or more points, you can only do 20 posters per 24 hours, you cannot give rep to the same post twice,you can only give or take from a poster evry 20th time, ie you do one then you got to do 19 other posters before you can get back to the original.

Take a deep breath, and read the boss's explanation again.

Not using the system much does prevent you from 'giving it' to the same poster again, whereas, if you give plenty of feedback, you may comment on the same poster again quite soon.
The more green little squares the buggers collect, the heavier their vote will weight upon your head.
So don't green your enemies, and don't red them if they have a few squares under their name.

By contrast, you may send really nasty reds to those who display a red square - they can't retribute until they start making nice, funny comments (or calling pongy, Udon or Old Croc a cnut) to get into the green.
