Half way through a PM and I hit the back button to check something, hit the forward button to finish it and all I'm left with is the title but nothing that I had already typed in the message box. How do I get around that guys? Cheers Gus

Most easy is to open your PM in a separate window, and then there is no back button
Have you used a web browser before or are you a first time user ?
Up until the last couple of months all I've used the Internet for was Email and just surfing different sites, forums etc for information. So I.m not very IT savvy. Just your basic 2 finger moron really,if it wasn't for spell check I'd be stuffed.
Hence my new avatar !
So do guys mean I should minimize the TD page I'm in reopen IE and then open TD again? It think I got it. Cheers Gus.
Don't need to minimise if you're using firefox or IE, just open the new window in a new tab...play around till you get the hang of it.
The only place that I got a tab is this bar down in Lamai that I go to 4/5 times a month at at the moment (after a few months or so it's up to about 81/2 ,9 K) so I really don't want to start doing that shit all over the place, now do I.?
If you have any computer problems in future, don't hesitate to ask me.
You know what I did yesterday LOM.
I removed my 160 gig hard drive from its external casing and stuck it in my machine because a google search revealed that external hard drives are prone to dying quick.
I then put a sort of okish old formatted 40 gig hard drive into the external casing.
I also took apart all the bits of the computer and cleaned the fans with a little blowy device and a brush.
I used an eraser to clean the points on my ram sticks.
there were computer bits everywhere.
I then put it all back together again and it works pretty well.
I didn't ask the questions here for fear of being outed a troll.
I used some techie forums.
^ did u have any spare parts left over?
that always happens to me!

Thanks guys! I'd seen that bar at bottom of the tool bars before, but I had no idea what it meant, and also, in my sorry defense, let me add that because I only use a laptop, I use the F11 mode 90% of the time so I don't have to scroll too much, and I forget that bars there,(not that I knew ,what it was for anyway) I'll have a play and see what mayhem I can cause. Cheers Gus
Fekk it , you did what? You went to the competitionOriginally Posted by ChiangMai noon

i didn't post, just google searched my issues and was taken to relevant threads.
I feel pretty bad about it, but I'd have been hounded by the likes of Frankie and KW if I'd posted it here.

Ok, I'm getting the idea of tabbed browsing,I had no clue that you could do that, before you guys pointed me in the right direction .I just used to shrink and Reopen IE and then open a favorite(or open again) or whatever and then do it again and again.Cool!
Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
