Hi, found your forum to be most inspiring and though I should join up.
I have visited Thailand previously and had a great time.
Was sad to learn of the death of Nicke of M T bar, who was a real nice guy.
I would like to take a motorbike to Phuket this year as II will be coming for six months. I was wondering what the best options would be in regarding cost, time for shipping, etc and if it is worth the hassle / financially .
    I live in London.
    thanks

dont know about thailand, but usually, if you come on a tourist visa, you can bring your bike, without major problems...
in this case its not an "import"... or - this you have to make clear: you will bring the bike and take it with you back again... selling is not permitted and if it is scrapped, make sure you can prove this, otherwise you wiould - when leaving the country - have to pay the import fees... faik

it needs a special insurance from the UK...
there were a few things to consider, but your insurance will know what has to be done...
