Bumrungrad save my american friends life - Liver Transplant. 2 years ago.

My Thai wife was IP Ladprao General.

I have used Phyathai 1 and 2. I use Phayathai 1 the most. Both for the past two years.

I find medical care here to be first class and very high tech.

This is my bed in the standard room for B2,900 per day. BIH also offered a deluxe room for B6,600 and a superior room for B10,000 per day.

    Now the bathroom.

After surgery I was placed in the recovery room. You can see the gas doctor and I waving.

Incidentally, since I had a local anesthetic I was able to view the operation on a large TV screen. The DVD will be out soon.

    Back in my private room.

Will have to wait and see how my knee comes along.

Overall an excellent hospital stay. My main bitch at this point is the Discharge Office. Even though they had all of the information required as to payment (which BUPA & AIA covered 100%), the office staff was terribly slow. It took almost 3 hours to be discharged, and that was only because I threw a stink and threatened to walk; well wheelchair my way out.

URL banned in Thailand as well

What happend? Can't see anything since the website requires a login

... kind of stupid actually. The woman creates a website to inform us about the death of her son, but to read anything about it you need a username/password. Why?

    The thaivisa link works.

What was the result of the surgery HB.

I've been plagued by bad knees since my mid teens.
Had about 9 bouts of surgery.
    Cartilage and cruciate ligament damage.

as long as I don't exercise too hard, they are ok these days.

Everthing turned out ok. Just a little rest and some physical therapy and I should be back to speed!

Thanks again for your great camera work: the shack in the jungle, the coup, the hospital experience. You're quite a photo-journalist. The fine senses of humor and irony don't hurt, either. Keep up the good work and get well soon.

    Been there; done that

I had my knee scoped at Massachusetts General Hospital mid July for a 20 you ski injury that was starting to act up. I was under the mistaken impression I would be up and running in a week or so. Wrong!! Took me about 4 weeks before I was reasonably comfortable. I had therapy to restore my range of motion. I amd sure age and weight did not help for a quick recoovery.
It does get better, usually between 4 and 8 weeks!
    Good luck
