| Dear Meepho, I had suffered with occasional acid reflux for years but had assumed it was stress from work. When I retired I thought it would disappear, but after a year of retirement I started developing the problem more seriously. I attended a natural health clinic and they told me I had GERD and should look into my diet. They told me to follow a fast of fruit and veg for 10 days to detox, and then to stick to a diet of brown rice, beans, veg and fruit - some fish. This is basically a macrobiotic diet. Within the diet I also balanced out the pH by making my diet more alkaline. It was drastic at the time but I have followed it for a couple of years now and feel an awful lot better. I would certainly recommend it but it requires determination. Hope you resolve your problem, All the Best, BillZ |

| thankyou for all the input it has been very informative, and i have plenty to try out, i have indeed taken the overall advise and seen the doc, he has taken a blood sample and he will be able to break it down to a couple af causes, it will take a few days for the results to come back and i will let you know who has been the closest on their diagnosis. in the mean time i will try a couple of changes to my diet, i like what billzant had to say and it makes sense and can not do any harm, once again thx |
