| A hospital visit. 1)Aeronide inhaler contains Budesonide anabolic steroid asthma relief 2)Codepect , Rolar - some sort of codeine 3)Basatin - anti-bacterial combination drug 4)Nuelin - contains theophylline a bronchodilator to widen the lung air passages 5)Prednisolone - anti-inflamatory 6)Meptin - perhaps another broncodilator, couldn't really identify. 7) a syringe injected at the hospital, unidentified 8)X-ray of chest, which presumably precipitated this drug windfall. Total cost 1,200 Baht. Cheap enough I guess, but one has to question whether they really are all necessary, or effective. The problem a cough and a feeling of tiredness. My point is whether this avalanche of pills is the default for any Thai person accompanied by a farang, as my wife noticed a scribbled note to this effect on the slip of paper that the nurse took to the pharmacy counter from the doctor. Why is the fact she was with a farang relevant? This is a supposedly reputable hospital, but I always leave with that uneasy feeilling ( deliberate ) I've been had.

Thais can't get enough medicine and willingly accept as many drugs as they are prescribed. suits both them and the hospital to have a big list, your presence there would have made no difference. my wife was a bit shocked the first time I refused to accept and pay for some unnecessary anti biotics.
