| Flips-Flop sandals lead to leg/foot problems I've always noticed that my walk is fifferent when I wear flip-flops. Especially, when there is not ankle band (wrap around). After my sandals were stolen, and then another pair wore out quickly, and my old Nike's went to pot, I was wearing paper thin flip-flops. The bottoms of my feet hurt, and my ankle felt twinges. When I wear regular shoes I was better and feel better. You can't skimp out on quality footwear. Here's a brief article about a recent study. Quote:

| I can't wear the things... Too annoying... They try to market them as fashion items too... A piece of unsupported foam slapping off the base of your foot can't be good for you... Doctor Martens boots didn't get that name for nothing.... |

| Senior Member | I would never wear them outside the shower, I wear daily and even in my house a pair of Timberland or Topsider deck shoes, if people don't want to wear their shoes in my house then they dont need to come in or they damn sure dont want me in their house cause I wear shoes. If you think flip, flops are good for your feet then how come all Thai feet look like boxing gloves or catchers mitts? Plus bare feet in my house?? what with 20 000 virus spores and bacteris on em,, fuck no.

| Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb | Flip-flops? I live in them, work too. Just make sure you use the ones with the strap between your toes and not the ones with the strap over the top of your foot. Those are for girls. Haven't noticed any problems, but, then again, I can run as fast in flip-flops as shoes.

| Hate flip flops. Can't stand that bit of plastic between the big toe and the second toe, like it's cutting right into my foot. Worst piece of footwear next to this: Chinese Foot Binding ![]() |

| If I'm wearing sandals, I only wear Keens. I can wear them all day and no problems from blisters or pains in feet, like I get when I wear Thai thongs or sandals. I brought them back for my wife and three kids but they don't wear them nearly as much as I do. |
