| If you have been in good shape before it's much easier to get back to it. So just do something. A little movement goes a long way. there are many other things you could do. Tennis or something like that, chi gong in one of those classes in the park, yoga... they key for me is to find something I enjoy. /quote] Good post this, says it all. Very hard if one has never been concerened about his fitness and is only doing it because one has finally realized one has turned into a fat unhealthy smelly foker. Not the end of the world, being consistent is the key, don't over do it, start out slowly and don't expect miracles. If one can just manage to do something every second day and modify ones diet it will happen.

| ^ I meant that it took me nearly a year to go from looking soft to getting solid, more muscle mass and definition and seeing a huge difference in my face and whole body. If a person is 140 kilos and loses 5 kilos, not much of a difference is going to be seen. But if the same person loses 20 kg, then more shows and after a loss of 30 or more, the results are even more noticeable. The heavier a person is, makes it harder to see just a little weight loss.

| On NOVA (PBS) they did a documentary about taking a bunch of average people and training them all to do a marathon. Amazing how the body can adapt, the heart beat stronger and more efficiently, veins and arteries more elastic, etc. Quote:

| I only worked out once last week. My training partner really needs to pull his socks up and tell his boss to fek off when asked to work late on training night. |
