Was thinking about the surgeon too(cheers David48, surgeon not the hospital) and how he couldnt speak any English and i should have gine to Bangkok.

She had an irregular heartbeat that we were called back for the other day too but was assured its fine now.

Well id better get sone flowers and a chicken soup basket and head up there now.

    Cheers again xx
Mate, glad it all went well for the cheese and kissers.

Hope the post-op (always a fun term to use in Thailand), the post-op is speedy and painless.

Maybe, to help the next guy ...

    Hospital?
    Doctor?
    Cost?
    Stay Length?
    Satisfaction?

Thought i mentioned most of that

    Hospital - Samitivej, Sri Racha
Surgeon- fat guy in his 30's i reckon, with glasses, doesnt speak the Angkrit, don't know his name. I'll find out
Cost -160,000 for a Total Larascopic Hysterectomy, a fair bit cheaper than Samitivej Sukhumvit

Heres Samitivej Sukhumvit's surgery pricelist valid til December.....
    https://www.samitivejhospitals.com/e...rgery-package/

Length of stay - 2 nights
Satisfaction- so far so good, she seems nearly back to herself now, nurse has just been in and gave her 12 hours worth of painkiller even though she didnt ask.Although she did say she has a bit of a headache and it hurts a little when she coughs. Theres just 2 tiny incision marks on her stomach. its a nice hospital, very clean, has a Starbucks, restaurant and about 50 feet away from a nice seafood restaurant by the sea.Theres a Robinsons around the corner , a big kiddies playground just down the road.

    Mum Aroy restaurant

Next day my friend phoned me in a fit of laughter. Her boy's teacher had phoned to say the boy had been telling his friends at school that his auntie gave birth to a pink balloon!

The teacher wanted to know what the heck was going on with this strange story.

Was covered in litter last time I was there. Was a public holiday so the beach cleaners were off for 3 days.

I'll be down to pick up the bedding tomorrow, cheers.

    Koh Sichang is great.

    Full of character.

Not a picture post-card island though.

Fishing island, very much still a working one.

You're doshed up, so treat your daughter to Paree Hut Resort.

She'll love the boat journey out there. Not too long and plenty to look at.
Step by step, inch by inch, piece by piece.

Glad to hear the operation went well and your wife is on the mend.

No doubt she has a good partner to take care of things whilst she is recuperating.

    Hey Dill,
While late into the post my wife had same deal. It was a few years before we met. I saw the pictures of what they removed being she kept the pictures for whatever reason. Hers was a tennis ball size cyst on her ovary. Needless to say kids were out which made her an undesirable for Thai relationships potential but made it the perfect match for me being I did not want to be a geriatric dad.

Hope your wife has a speedy recovery.

Dillinger-Dude : Very tasteful juxtaposition of the pic of your wife's removed uterus and a plate of food.

    Pure TD class.

It took me a little while (I was in denial) but I realized finally that what was in the jar was not just the fibroid, but actually her entire uterus. Maybe you could get it tanned and made into a wallet (or even handbag) , then present it to Terry when he returns ? He will not have seen this thread. Just don't tell him for a few weeks what it is....

Like one of these dried cane toads we flog off to tourists here in Oz....

    Or better still....a cap !

Speaking of a uterus, Did you hear about the circumcision doc who kept all the foreskins?. He saved enough and stitched them together and when he rubs it, it grows into a wallet....

Think you got the punchline wrong.

He saved enough to make a wallet, which when he rubs it, turns into a briefcase.
