I have no choice. As Nidhogg indicated I'm pussy whipped. So to keep the peace and save myself from bleeding to death I'm drying out.Originally Posted by redhaze

You might find you feel better as a side effect. Never a bad thing...
Hmmm...
Ter, you do have a way of working in or referencing arse fvcking [unconsciously?] throughout most of your posts - regardless of thread course.
Subliminal blurter obsession?
Just asking like.

Respect, Prag...But that dentist owes you a shot of something "sweet"...You probably don't have "access" to the best spliff in the world, but you better believe that the good doc has something better...
Years ago, after periodontal surgery (where his cute "assistant" passed out amidst the blood and bone), I told the doc I was headed straight to work...He couldn't believe it...And he wouldn't let me leave until he'd shot my jaw with some shit that had me floating for hours...
Look him in the eye and tell him you can't face "that woman" without a beer, so "give me something in a needle" to help the initial pain of it all...
Yep drinking thins the blood and reduced clotting. So if you are getting teeth pulled the blood will not form a propper clot to stop the bleeding.
I just spent 2 grand in the dentist and no one told me to stop drinking.
3 days... bollox to that

ive never heard about the 3 day abstinence prior to a dental visit, but if you have had a difficult extraction or two, then until a blood clot has fully formed and covered the wound, usually 24 hours or so, it is better to avoid alcohol which can affect blood chemistry, and in fact any liquids that may physically wash away an unstabilised blood clot from the wound. better to drink through a straw so that the liquid bypasses the teeth entirely
alcohol may cause changes in coagulation and raise the chances of fibrinolysis, the breakdown of fibrin in blood clots by blood borne enzymes, fibrin btw, is a fibrous protein involved in the clotting of blood.
How do you come to that conclusion?Originally Posted by taxexile
