    Home gym floor

I use my garage as a home gym. I've a few equipment including a boxing bag and I'm looking for something to cover the floor similar to what you find in boxing clubs (for barefoot practice) . It has to be strong and resistant enough as I still need to park the car from time to time when I go abroad for a couple of days.

Your suggestion for an affordable solution are most welcomed. If you have some suppliers' address (Bangkok area) that would be fantastic.

I've got rubber matting in my gym. It's about 3/4 inch thick and durable as a really durable thing. Oil/water leaks aside it would take a car being parked on it and would be perfect for your purposes.

That being said I have no idea where it came from or how much it cost so other than the suggestion/idea that's probably of no help whatsoever.

To give you an idea of what I'm talking about:

That's just one section, I've got it wherever I need it.

Actually looking at that pic now it's not as thick as I said earlier. Still highly durable though.

I use an indoor/outdoor carpeting in mine. I built the house 8 years ago, and it has held up perfectly. I don't worry about carpet burn, as I don't spend any time on the floor.

Ah well you don't run with us anymore so cannot chat and ask.

I got the idea from another runner. He said alongside the Chonburi motorway after Srinakarin heading west. Where all the old wood shops are.

I'll have to ask him again on Saturday;-)

He has a perfectly serviceable piece of ex-hotel carpet , as a rug. Cut down to about 2.5mx 2.5m.

If you think carpet burn is bad, try rubber mat burn!

Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
