Chitty is right if we are talking proper exercise like weight training, in that rest time your muscles are repairing themselves from being ripped.
Mincing around the local park at 6kmh with your walkman, headband and fitbit.... the only thing that is getting ripped.... is the piss out of you, by the women runners who keep lapping you
^If you're doing serious weight training or body-weight exercises, there is a bit of herbal supplementation available (other than Wheys and Creatine) to overcome muscle and joint fatigue.
Started taking Ginger (no sniggering) in a morning, and feel a lot better for it. Adding other natural anti-imflamms like Turmeric and Cinnamon is good also.

The 2 finger special is a vital part of the 4 hands warm oil recovery massage Dill.
^ i do feel invigorated after that, my first ever massage in Thailand without happy ending
Hobbled 500 metres around the park just. Amazing how much energy you have left without happy endings
Maybe it's having lost weight and my stomach adjusting, or maybe it's eating after exercising, but nowadays I end up leaving all the stodgy rice crap and generally just eat the meat, egg, veg and soup in a meal, and usually not even all of it.
^You need a few carbs, especially if you're committed to regular exercise, but dropping unnecessary / excess bread, rice, pasta, etc out of your daily feed (unless you live in fucking Antarctica, or similar) will remove the fat from you pretty quick.
Although now in my 50's, I'm probably in better shape than I was in the previous two decades.
Triceps, shoulders and back today.
one day rest
Biceps, chest
one day rest
cardio five days on 3 days off.
Today I mostly half-arsed my way through a Push (chest / shoulders / tris) workout.
Just a suggestion if I may?Originally Posted by Chittychangchang

Ahh Cheers Lu
Gotta get Wow off at DM, then check into Ram...chain myself to a desktop for a couple days...
Will try next week
Took me a while but I'm starting to enjoy working out in the gym - I think it's the smattering of Spandex-clad buttocks that does it. Aside from being a pervert though, I'm really enjoying the deadlifts - they make me feel extremely powerful and hunky.
The gym also boasts relatively clean toilet facilities, which is a luxury not usually afforded to trail runners [shat in the woods again yesterday - it's autumn though so toilet paper was abundant].
